For the third season in a row, Helen Kaminski has teamed up with Australian fashion royalty Romance Was Born to create bespoke headwear for their show at MBFWA.
Romance Was Born is known for its bold aesthetics - and wow did they put on a show. The creative design duo Luke Sales and Anna Plunkett brought a dramatic end to Australian Fashion Week with a theatrical nod to “ethereal disco nymphs”. Complementing bold colours, splashes of rainbows and lavish embellishments, all took inspiration from the Australian artist and two time Archibald winner Del Kathryn Barton’s whimsical world.
Helen Kaminski was honoured to design a couture headwear collection to sit alongside the brand’s Electric Orchid’ Collection on the runway. The collaboration between the two brands encapsulated the spirit of Romance Was Born and highlighted the artisanal skills of Helen Kaminski. The final collection showcases the classic Helen Kaminski styles and silhouettes, mixed with exaggerated proportion’s, dramatic features and luxurious finishes.
Helen Kaminski’s own master craftsman Garry Bishop handcrafted the creations at our design studio here in Sydney.
The exclusive headwear collection is now at the Helen Kaminski QVB flagship store and is avilable for purchase both in store and online.
Each style is handmade to order with all proceeds going to support the GO Foundation.
